SageGroup Strategies announces that it has opened a SGS Office in Detroit, Michigan as another step in SageGroup’s major international expansion program. SageGroup is the largest Professional Troubled-Company Specialist firm in the United States and the world, with over fifty Offices nationally plus in Asia and Europe, with many more pending USA and foreign Offices.

In accordance with a recently-signed overall strategic-alliance agreement, the SGS Office is based at the Detroit headquarters office of The Kinzler Group, Inc. KGI is a well-established management and financial consulting firm which operates nationally and internationally.

Ken Kinzler, Chairman and CEO of KGI, stated, “Since 1993 The Kinzler Group has been providing a variety of management and financial consulting services to manufacturing, industrial, and other companies. This has included leading and managing several successful business turnarounds, helping to start a high-tech pharmaceutical venture, and advising on other situations.

“We look forward to providing various services to the SageGroup companies, clients, affiliated companies, and other companies that SageGroup may refer to us. In addition, we encounter troubled companies for which we plan to also involve SageGroup for joint work.”

Ralph Davis, KGI’s Senior Vice President and CFO, added, “The Kinzler Group looks forward to a high-quality business relationship with SageGroup, not only within the USA but also in other countries in which both firms operate. Most troubled companies have a variety of special issues and needs, and it is good to be able to offer the broader range of capabilities that the two firms together have.”

Besides its major focus on the Greater Detroit Area, the SGS Detroit Office will also be involved in serving SGS clients and helping to open other SGS Offices within the broader geographical area in which it is located centrally. This area includes all of Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio (and excludes Wisconsin, which SageGroup serves from its Milwaukee and Madison Offices within that state).

Mr. Kinzler and Mr. Davis have concurrently joined SageGroup and are two of the four SGS Detroit Office Co-Managers. They are also two of the four SGS Coatings Industry Division Co-Managers. “SageGroup has a large variety of highly-qualified professionals able to help in many types of troubled-company situations,” stated Mr. Kinzler. “In addition, when appropriate, SageGroup can immediately involve many other professional firms, capital sources, and other entities with which it has strategic alliances or other types of business relationships.”

“Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio are very well positioned for major future business growth,” added Mr. Davis. “SageGroup plans to support these three states’ business communities with a very strong local presence and locally-based professionals, combined with SageGroup’s major national and international capabilities, resources, credibility, strategic alliances, and other quality relationships. This allows us to strongly help many troubled companies in ways that smaller firms can’t.”
